ISSR Leximancer Training: 2016 Dates

INTRODUCTION TO LEXIMANCER (1 DAY)

This session is designed for new users of Leximancer. It is a hands-on introduction which starts by covering the basic operations of the system. Participants will learn how to:

  • Perform an exploratory analysis of textual data

  • Learn how to interact with the visual concept map

  • Browse text excerpts to explore the data

WORKSHOP DATES:

Scheduled for 4 May, 20 July, 26 October.

 

LEXIMANCER NEXT STEPS (1 DAY)

This module is designed for people who are familiar with using Leximancer and who want to take their skills to the next level, building on the concepts learnt in the Introduction to Leximancer module. Participants will cover advanced topics such as:

  • Profiling

  • Interpretation of results

  • Work on their own data and projects

Pre-requisites: Introduction to Leximancer or attendees need to have a basic knowledge of Leximancer and be able to import data, make changes to settings and generate concept maps.

WORKSHOP DATES:

Scheduled for 5 May, 21 July, 27 October.

 

LEXIMANCER MASTERCLASS (1 DAY)

This advanced workshop is designed for experienced users of Leximancer. The hands-on format provides users with strategies to answer advanced analytical questions using Leximancer.

Pre-requisites: Leximancer Next Steps or attendees need to have a sound knowledge of Leximancer.

WORKSHOP DATES:

Scheduled for 6 October.

 

COURSE FEES:

If booked separately each course fee is $600 plus GST.  However, if D1 and D2 are booked together, you obtain a package rate of $1000 plus GST.  Students receive a 25% discount on fees.  

 

TRAINERS:

Our Leximancer experts and trainers are Sue York and Dr Andrew Smith (the inventor of Leximancer).
